AI Field Notes: Getting Better Control of Your Schedule with AI
Leaders rarely pause long enough to evaluate whether their schedule is serving them or draining them. One simple but powerful use of AI is to analyze your calendar with context, identify patterns, and recommend changes that reclaim focus time.
In this example, I asked ChatGPT to review a snapshot of my calendar. I explained my time-zone differences with coworkers and the fact that mornings tend to fill quickly. I also shared that I want dedicated blocks for writing and personal learning.
The key insight is this: AI works best when you provide context. What is working? What is not? What constraints matter? When you give AI the *why* behind your schedule, it can help you design a better one—not by replacing good judgment but by supporting it.
This is part of a new series, AI Field Notes, where I share quick, practical examples of how professionals can use AI in real work.
